8:30 pm : The Smokin 45s
I would describe their sound as an edgy rockabilly. A high energy feel that is almost classic pulp, harkening to the sound of America’s pop culture period of the late 50’s early 60’s if it were injected with Viagra and transported into the future of today’s culture... They sound like something that should be featured in the next Quentin Tarantino film. Chad LeFevre Krave Magazine

8:30 pm : The Heartwicks
Thursday Local Spotlight $10 Burger & A Beer
The Heartwicks began in 2007 as a minimalist drums and guitar based band. Neighbourhood acceptance was at first limited in the one bedroom apartment, as sleep deprived neighbours pounded on their floors and ceilings. With the addition of bass keyboard, organ, and piano in 2009 the band came of age. Touring Alberta and British Columbia in 2010 The Heartwicks capped their tour playing in the Center Of Gravity music festival alongside Dragonette, The Latency, Faber Drive, and Naughty By Nature. In 2011 the band began working on their first EP. The Heartwicks are characterized by their tight sound, improvised solos, danceable beats, and positive message. This rock and blues based band has been likened to The White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Doors, Deep Purple, Kings Of Leon, and Pink Floyd.
